They're the only gym in town so they charge the prices of a professional gym, only they don't have the features of one. No air conditioning, no Yosemite decimal system graded routes or V scale graded boulder problems. Be careful when finishing a route because the final hold is just the top of the wooden wall, I've cut myself or got splinters from it. Also, they don't clean vacuum any spilled chalk so it can get hard to breathe some times when there is a lot of it in the air. As a plus they do have a pretty good workout/training facility upstairs, peg boards, rings, a plethora of hangboards and campusing walls. If you want to get into rock climbing in Cleveland this is the place to go l but keep in mind most gyms are nicer.
Finally made it to Cle Rock Gym. Over all its a great place. Plenty of top roping and boldering. Its an old industrial warehouse so it's nothing fancy but they've got it where it counts. They even have a training and exercise area. The staff are all nice from my experience so far.
Nice place to climb. Friendly and helpful staff. Doesn't use the Hueco rating scale or Yosemite Decimal System but the setters still do a nice job of labeling route difficulties.
I have been going to the Cleveland Rock Gym for the past five years. This place is like a second home anymore. Friendly staff, routes are changed frequently enough that it doesn't get boring. I definitely recommend it for either bouldering or top rope. You won't be disappointed!
Great place for climbing either regularly or just casually. They make climbing a fun experience for everyone involved and prices are reasonable. The walls are also updated fairly frequently and they offer a range of classes for a variety of skill levels. Staff is friendly and always willing to help out!
