About Earth Adventures

Rick and Nancy Bodeker started Earth Adventures in 1991. Later that year, Mike Loney joined the corporation, and together they built the store from the ground up. In 1998, when Mike decided to move out west, they sold the store to Dick Read who expanded into the scuba diving business. Paul Towne became the owner in 2003 and later decided to liquidate the merchandise and close the store. Seeing the opportunity to return to the business they loved and missed, Rick and Nancy have been working since February, 2005 to re-establish Earth Adventures as the quality outdoor specialty store their customers expect and appreciate.

Building the business is a "work in progress" and with each season, new merchandise is arriving at Earth Adventures. We continue to establish and expand recognized lines for camping, canoeing, climbing, caving and backpacking equipment. The store is stocked with gear for every level of expertise from the beginner to the expert. Employees, who are also outdoor enthusiasts, are ready to answer your questions to help you select the appropriate clothing and equipment for whatever your adventure.
