We have many opportunities for wildlife viewing. We have an abundance of birds, fox, and mule deer with occasional sightings of bobcat, mountain lion, and black bear. While you many not see all the wildlife in the park there are always signs of their presence on the trail.

Winter Activities
The scenery is quite dramatic when snow covers Roxborough’s ridges and spires. The myriad of animal tracks in the snow tell the stories of wildlife's winter activities. Novice and advanced cross-country skiers and snowshoers enjoy recreating on the gentle trails. The next time there is a measurable snowfall in the Denver area, head to Roxborough. Do not wait too long after the snowfall because many of the trails are exposed and snow melts quickly-- often within one or two days of the snowfall.
