There are many advantages to using the UAB CRCT's indoor climbing wall when compared to outdoor climbing. You do not need to be concerned about rain, sleet, snow, or how hot or cold it may be. You also have access to a staff that is well equipped to help with any issues that may arise. The most significant advantage to indoor climbing, though, may be the variety. New routes and problems are set often to ensure that our patrons always have something new and challenging to look forward to.

The indoor climbing wall is an Entre-Prises Imprint wall with over 1500 square feet of climbing surface. The wall stands at 36 feet high and 43 feet wide, containing both top-rope routes and bouldering problems for climbers of all skill levels. The wall leans out creating an overhang in many areas, which adds a challenge as it requires you to develop arm strength and technique in order to master some of the more difficult routes.
